With his valet Snelgrove
DARCY
Did I just see you smirking, Snelgrove? What exactly do you know?
SNELGROVE
Oh, nothing sir. I'm just looking forward to returning to Hertfordshire.
DARCY
I see. You like it there?
SNELGROVE
I find the atmosphere there most invigorating.
DARCY
You know, Snelgrove, you're one of my oldest and dearest friends.
SNELGROVE
I appreciate your saying that, sir.
DARCY
Sometimes I get the feeling that you would never allow anything bad to happen to me.
SNELGROVE
I do what I can, sir.
DARCY
Tell me, Snelgrove, do you think I'll live happily ever after?
SNELGROVE
I have no doubt of it, Mr. Darcy.
DARCY
Does it require my return to Hertfordshire?
SNELGROVE
I should think it does, sir.
