Well, Georgiana, what do you think of Miss Eliza?
GEORGIANA
I think she's very nice.
MISS BINGLEY
She finally managed to work her way up to Pemberley after having heard so much about it.
GEORGIANA
Well, I've always wanted to meet her.
MISS BINGLEY
Some people would consider her sudden appearance at Pemberley to be quite brazen.
GEORGIANA
I'm glad she came.
MISS BINGLEY
But didn't you find her conversation somewhat... provincial?
GEORGIANA
No. I --
MISS BINGLEY
When I was in Hertfordshire I heard nothing at all but talk of fish-sellers and barns and milking cows.
GEORGIANA
But you did attend several balls while you were there. Surely those occasions were --
MISS BINGLEY
Yes, but I threw that ball myself, Georgiana.
GEORGIANA
Well, I think she's very pretty, too.
MISS BINGLEY
You know, my dear, there's a name for women who follow gentlemen all the way to their country estates.
GEORGIANA
Yes, I've heard Mrs. Reynolds use that name herself, when you were here last March.
MISS BINGLEY
Georgiana!!
GEORGIANA
Of course I reprimanded her immediately.
