With Louisa at Netherfield
MRS. HURST
I thought you promised me that you wouldn't take an interest in Elizabeth Bennet.
DARCY
Well, once she's gone I don't expect to see her again.
MRS. HURST
Except at the ball.
DARCY
Oh yes, the ball.
MRS. HURST
You won't dance with her, will you?
DARCY
Louisa, why are you so concerned with my affairs? Shouldn't you be worrying about your brother?
MRS. HURST
Caroline is getting hard to live with now that she has a rival.
DARCY
Oh, good grief, Louisa. A rival for what?
MRS. HURST
Well, you can sort that one out yourself with Caroline at some point. For the time being I think you should avoid Miss Elizabeth's company and take Charles out shooting or riding all day long.
DARCY
Well, then please make an effort to keep your sister away from me.
MRS. HURST
I'm sure you'll find it easy to avoid Miss Elizabeth at the ball. You can keep my husband company in the billiard room.
