Bingley and the gentlemen cruise Meryton
BINGLEY
Goodness. These Hertfordshire roads are certainly bumpy.
DARCY
I think I may have to throw up.
HURST
My god. Take a look, Bingley, over there. I think those are the same five girls I was telling you about.
BINGLEY
My word. They are quite a sight, aren't they? Let's follow them into that dress shop.
DARCY
Oh, good grief.
BINGLEY
Perhaps I'll pick up a shawl for Caroline.
DARCY
Hurry up. I'll be waiting in the carriage.
BINGLEY
Darcy, get out of that blasted carriage this instant. Come buy a pelerine or something for Georgiana.
DARCY
A pelerine? Out here?

(in the shop)
DARCY
Believe me, Bingley, I have no interest in anything in Hertfordshire whatso... um...
BINGLEY
Yes?
DARCY
...whatsoever.
BINGLEY
Yes, Darcy? Did something catch your eye just now?
DARCY
What? Certainly not!
BINGLEY
The dark-haired one?
DARCY
No. Just the ribbons in her hair looked, well...
BINGLEY
I'll bet they're all sisters.
DARCY
Take care, Bingley. The world is full of pretty girls.
HURST
I'll say it is.
DARCY
Gentlemen in our position have to make sure we don't get swept off our feet at the first sign of a fluttering eyelash.
BINGLEY
Look at that tall one. My word.
HURST
I dare say you owe me a bottle of that cognac, Bingley.
BINGLEY
I hope they're at that assembly ball tomorrow.
